Description

As the Senior Manager of HR Systems, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of our HR technology systems. You’ll lead a talented team to ensure our HRIS solutions meet the evolving needs of our workforce and organization.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and prioritize HR technology initiatives, aligning them with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Serve as HR project manager lead on enterprise technology projects with HR involvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in HRIS and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HRIS systems, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance. Responsible for HR data integrity including audits, identifying issues and making recommendations to management for corrective action.
  • Monitor systems for problems, identify and implement corrective and prevention actions. Primary interface between Human Resources and Information Technology for development and problem resolution.
  • Support application report management. Collect data as needed for reports and distribute timely and accurate information.
  • Act as mentor, trainer, and backup for HRIS analysts.
  • Provide guidance and training as necessary to management and Human Resources staff.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate and represent the corporation in civic, industry and professional organizations.
  • Maintain strong working relationships within Human Resources Department.
  • Maintain supportive and respectful working relationships with all Black Hills Corporation employees and departments.
  • Maintain professional relationship with all vendors.

Qualification & Requirements

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field with Human Resources emphasis or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 or more years Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in progressive HRIS management.

What Is Desired Or Can Be Taught:

  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and optimizing HR technology solutions.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Advanced knowledge of HR information and other systems, including system implementation and administration functionality.
  • Programming SQL reporting applications such as PeopleSoft, and strong understanding of relational databases.
  • Must be detail oriented and quality driven.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and PC software skills required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills a must, as well as strong interpersonal, coaching, consulting and process and project management skills.
