Senior Manager/Head of Talent Acquisition – India & APAC

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Leadership: Formulate and execute comprehensive talent acquisition strategies aligned with Vanderlande business goals throughout India & APAC region.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a high-performing talent acquisition team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Take complete ownership of the talent acquisition lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and effective process from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with senior leadership and business stakeholders to understand organizational needs and align recruitment strategies accordingly.
  • Global Project Influence: Contribute to global talent acquisition projects, ensuring that India & APAC perspective is well-represented.
  • Recruitment Process Optimization: Partner closely with the Talent Acquisition Center of Expertise to continuously enhance and improve recruitment processes to streamline workflows and enhance the candidate experience.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain partnerships with external vendors (Job Boards, Recruitment Agencies, Assessment tools) to effectively leverage their solutions and services to fulfil talent acquisition needs.
  • Executive Recruitment: Carry out and manage confidential recruitment efforts, research and talent identification for executive leadership roles in India & APAC.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, talent mapping, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in talent acquisition.
  • Brand Ambassador: Position Vanderlande as an employer of choice through effective employer branding and candidate experience initiatives.
  • Diversity and Inclusion Champion: Drive initiatives to enhance diversity and inclusion in our talent acquisition processes.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Establish and manage recruitment metrics, providing regular and insightful reports to senior management.
  • Budget Management: Oversee and optimize the talent acquisition budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Over 15 years of extensive experience in Talent Acquisition within India & APAC region with a focus of hiring across all levels, preferably in multinational organizations.
  • Very good understanding of compliance related to India & APAC region i.e., Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan and South Korea.
  • Proven leadership skills in complex international organizations with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Creative professional with a passion for finding great people and the ability to clearly articulate ideas and concepts.
  • Track record in effectively implementing and embedding these concepts, processes and policies within India & APAC.
  • Strong background in recruiting for technical and non-technical roles.
  • Data driven, systems thinker who can generate and execute ideas at strategic and tactical levels.
  • Master’s degree in human resources or a related field.
