Description

A $3bill+ services company is looking to add a Senior Manager/Director of Accounting Projects & M&A Integration to serve as the Controller’s group resource to seek out process improvements, system enhancement + implementation and automation across the organization’s accounting, reporting, shared services and finance function.

Senior Manager/Director of Accounting Projects & M&A Integration

Key Responsibilities

• Key integration partner for new acquisitions, leading finance integration across multiple disciplines. Prioritize newly acquired companies for the initial 3-4 months, then extend support to past acquisitions for ongoing integration activities.

• Collaborate with accounting leadership to streamline the month-end close process and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at accelerating the close process.

• Drive enhancements in shared services processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

• Take charge of accounting policies, including the development of new policies, updates, maintenance, and ensuring compliance across all business units.

• Work closely with the Assistant Controller to implement advanced reconciliation and reporting tools, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes.

• Oversee controls implementation and adherence, ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating financial risks across all operational areas.

• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful execution of finance integration projects and process improvement initiatives.

• Develop and implement robust project management frameworks to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and facilitate timely resolution of issues.

• Foster collaboration and communication among cross-functional teams involved in integration and process improvement efforts to ensure alignment and synergy across the organization.

• Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented controls, processes, and project management practices, iterating as necessary to drive ongoing improvement and optimization.

Qualification & Requirements

· Chicago area candidates only

· 7+ years of accounting and reporting experience high growth company or consulting

· Accounting and reporting process improvement experience and mindset

· Accounting degree
