Description

Tyler is seeking an experienced marketing leader to direct our Marketing Shared Services function. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with marketing leaders, cross-functional teams, and other Tyler leaders to streamline marketing processes, increase efficiency, and drive consistency, while also optimizing resource allocation and maximizing the return on marketing investments.

Tyler’s Marketing Shared Services team is a centralized corporate function responsible for providing specialized marketing expertise and support services to various business units and corporate functions across the company through an in-house centers-of-excellence delivery model. The senior leader will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing various critical marketing functions including branding and creative services, campaign automation, marketing enablement, event marketing, and marketing data, technology, and web assets.

This key leadership position reports directly to Tyler’s Chief Marketing Officer and is a member of the marketing senior leadership team.

Senior Director, Marketing Shared Services

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Operations

  • Oversee the Marketing Operations team, which includes creative services, campaign automation, and marketing enablement.
  • Benchmark Tyler’s current marketing activities, performance, and investment against industry best practices, and through gap analysis, develop roadmaps for improvements and business cases for undertaking necessary changes.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality, on-brand creative assets through Tyler’s workflow project management system.
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns through Tyler’s marketing automation platform, from planning and strategy development to implementation and analysis.
  • Strengthen sales and marketing alignment by overseeing sales enablement materials and tools, including oversight of Tyler’s content marketing and sales enablement tools.

Event Marketing

  • Oversee event experience and event operations teams.
  • Collaborate with marketing leaders and corporate event planners to create memorable experiences that promote brand awareness and drive customer engagement.
  • Ensure that Tyler’s events and trade shows are executed flawlessly, and represent the company in a positive light, reflect Tyler’s brand identity, and meet the expectations of Tyler leadership.
  • Oversee the operational management of more than 800 Tyler trade shows including booth assets, shipping/logistics and maintenance, sales lead capture, and material handling.

MarTech & Data

  • Oversee the marketing technology, web, and marketing data teams.
  • Oversee the marketing technology procurement and implementation process including evaluating, implementing, and optimizing marketing systems, tools, and technology platforms.
  • Spearhead cross-function collaboration efforts for data initiatives including data integration, data hygiene, database management, and data acquisition.
  • Oversee the tracking and analysis of marketing performance metrics across various campaigns and initiatives including creating and delivering comprehensive reports to provide executive stakeholders and marketing leaders with insights into marketing effectiveness and ROI.
  • Oversee the Tyler corporate website administration and content execution.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in a marketing field, with a focus on shared services, operations, or technology
  • 8+ years of proven experience in marketing leadership roles
  • Working experience in CRM solutions, marketing automation, and extended experience working in a digital marketing environment
  • Strong understanding of marketing best practices and the ability to lead and mentor marketing teams effectively
  • Expertise in marketing technology and analytics platforms, including marketing automation and CRM systems
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Must be self-motivated, work comfortably in a fast-paced environment and within group settings, and have excellent time-management skills
  • Strong collaborator with exceptional relationship-building skills
  • Intellectual curiosity, including an interest in and capacity for highly complex technical issues
