About the department:
Global Business Services (GBS) General management is the central unifying department in GBS responsible for enabling the business of various GBS functional units. It is a critical unit involved in devising strategy for GBS and helping set the direction for various GBS units based on inspiration from the global shared service industry.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sr. Category Manager you will be responsible for spend management of the relevant categories assigned along with developing and implementing category strategy for the relevant spend area. You will also be involved in creating spend visibility reports for the senior stakeholders across NNGBS and explore the opportunities in different categories and drive it as category project.
You will be proficiently driving projects negotiations offline or with Coupa for RFI, RFP & reverse auctions in liaison with Coupa support team and legal. Alongside, you will support and optimize Procure to Pay processes & tools in liaison with operations team . Additionally, you will be involved in stakeholder management to implement & facilitate sourcing agenda. Liaising with all levels of business to successfully achieve sourcing goals. Project management for sourcing project initiatives in India – Process, Tools & Global demand projects. Change management as per organization & business needs for Sourcing / Procurement owned processes. Other than the above you will be responsible for:
- Proactively interface with GBS management/ people managers – to identify the state of operations, ask for feedback and act on the same.
- Drive negotiations through advanced sourcing levers to maximise commercial benefits and value added services.
- Maintain, monitor and renew contracts in accordance with business, regulatory & legal requirements.
- Conduct Vendor due diligence & conduct Vendor performance analysis using the appropriate measurement tools and KPI’s.
- Ensure processes are in compliance.
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelors in any discipline from a well-recognised institute .
- Masters is preferred.
- Excellent academic track record and grades.
- 10+ years’ experience minimum within Sourcing function in a large multinational or consulting company.
- Good understanding of category management, Indian supplier landscape and compliance.
- SAP experience and preferably experience with Coupa.
- Proficient with PC-tools, knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PPT).
- Experience from the pharmaceutical industry, Consulting, is an advantage.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong logical reasoning and simplicity approach.
- Good understanding on procurement process.
