Description
The Senior RTR Process Expert & Chief Accountant within the Shared Service Centre (SSC), focusing on the Record-to-Report (R2R) workstream, is responsible for handling complex and specialized accounting matters to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of financial operations. This role plays a critical part in resolving challenging accounting issues within the R2R function, supporting the company’s financial objectives, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the R2R Manager / GPL on resolution of complex issues within R2R workstream
- Lead, oversee and handle complex accounting activities and cases within the R2R workstream
- Provide expertise and support on technical accounting matters related to R2R processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting challenges specific to R2R
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards specific to R2R
- Act as operations team member based on the demand and availability, actively participating in the execution of tasks within the R2R process
- Support month-end and year-end close processes within the R2R function as needed
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations related to R2R activities
- Work with auditors from various countries and support team members in preparation of the data requested by auditors
- Provide support, guidance, and training to accounting staff within the R2R workstream as necessary, in collaboration with Team leads R2R
- Making sure proper operational controls are in place to ensure proper compliance
- Collaborate with IT teams to introduce technology solutions and solve technical issues related to systems and tools
Qualification & Requirements
- Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus on handling complex accounting matters within the R2R workstream of a finance shared service center
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations relevant to R2R processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems used in R2R processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment within the R2R workstream
