Description
The Manager, Health Records is responsible for the overall effective operational management of the Health Records team at Prince of Wales Hospital and Sydney and Sydney Eye Hospital, operated under a shared service model in partnership with the Royal Hospital for Women. The Manager, Health Records forms part of the senior management team within the Health Information Unit as part of Shared Clinical Services program at Prince of Wales Hospital and Sydney and Sydney Eye Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
The Manager, Health Records will deliver an efficient and effective service by planning; reviewing; evaluating and implementing change to achieve organizational outcomes. The Manager, Health Records is responsible for the governance of the health care record at Prince of Wales Hospital, Royal Hospital for Women and Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospitals, and will ensure standardisation and implementation of new policies, procedures and new technologies in relation to the Health Records unit.
Qualification & Requirements
- Degree in Health Information Management or other relevant qualifications and working experience
- Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation in relation to health information
- Extensive knowledge of contemporary issues in health information management including financial; human resource; policy and legislation; and organisational management
- Proven ability to implement strategies to ensure efficient and effective service by planning; reviewing; evaluating and implementing change to achieve organisational outcomes
- Proven experience in leading a team and ability to manage performance
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, and ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders in delivering organisational outcomes
