ITS Unit Lead, Global Platforms

Key Responsibilities

• As a member of the ITS Leadership team, you oversee the identification, prioritization, and delivery of work activities for Galapagos’ global platforms and Shared Services application portfolio.
• You coach and develop your team, you provide thought leadership to business partners, and you shape and execute the technology vision and strategy to maximize business value.
• Members in your team are the interface between ITS and the Galapagos Shared Services functions, they develop technology strategies and roadmaps for the Galapagos’ global platforms, act as a solution guardian, and ensure technology solution delivery in line with business expectations and industry regulations.
• You oversee a team who holds system and platform management responsibility, which includes overall strategy, architecture, capability delivery, operational and life cycle management.
• You strategically define and steer the operating model for your area of responsibility, coordinate effective collaboration between the various ITS teams and platforms, drive improvements in ways-of-working and are actively involved in sourcing strategies and partnerships.
• You hold budgetary responsibility for your unit.
• You take an active role in leading the digitalization agenda for Galapagos by bringing benchmark technology & services.

Qualification & Requirements

• A Master degree in Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 10 years of experience leading teams in life science/pharma, with relevant experience in the domain shared services, manufacturing and supply chain.
• You can demonstrate a strong track record in developing diverse, engaged and performing teams.
• You are able to formulate and implement a strategic vision for global technologies.
• You bring delivery experience with industry-benchmark technologies in a pharmaceutical environment, including ERP, Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality management systems and data platforms
• You bring knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (GxP, SOx)
• You are delivery focused, committed to completion, and have experience in managing large and complex projects.
• You have a strong affinity with solution architecture and making factual trade-offs between various technology options.
• You are able to build strong partnerships and facilitate resolutions of cross-team integrated topics.
• You have a strong expertise in project delivery methods, tools and templates.
• You have the ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems, keeping a positive mind set and always looking at the bigger picture.
