Description

At General Mills India Center, we’ve experienced a strong period of growth as the direct result of increased efficiency and productivity. To continue this trajectory, a highly qualified chief of staff will work closely with Site Director. The role will shadow Site Director for seamless run for General Mills India Center to support enterprise transformation & growth. This person will have an immediate impact on our build for long range plans, streamlining strategic initiatives, representing and communicating internally & externally. The ideal candidate will have proven success in a business management role, with a special focus on executive-level advising and interdepartmental collaboration. All focused on making time, information, and decision processes more effective enabling trusted partnership with Site Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shadow to the Site Director for seamless run for General Mills India Center (GIC)
  • Be a member of management group creation of strategic focus for the center.
  • Become true service partner for GIC Management group in their day to day and strategic plans for the enterprise functions with center.
  • Supporting leadership in the development and execution of their internal communication and engagement strategy.
  • Be strategic partner and advisor to Site Director and bring external perspectives with right sources of information & analytics driving key decisions.
  • Analyze financial reports, market research, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for success.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders with right level of interventions for alignments and advancement.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, representing the Site Director’s interests, and serves as a bridge between the executive and various stakeholders within the organization, attend key meetings, review critical functions, and help teams resolve internal and cross-functional bottlenecks.
  • Develop and implement business plans, budgets, and performance targets to drive growth and capability for the center.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize operational efficiency and productivity of corporate functions and integrated functions under Site Director
  • Work cross-functionally utilizing available corporate resources to support local requirements and initiatives.
  • Act as custodian for budgets and track prudent spending towards benefit of enterprise.
  • Build equity with key stakeholders in the role like vendors, external industry forums, community groups, legal & regulatory authorities, functional leaders, global partners and counterparts at other companies.
  • Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and industry events

Qualification & Requirements

  • Master’s degree in business management or related field with 15 + years of experience.
  • Strategic thinking with right level of data supporting the recommendations and plans.
  • Versatile leadership working with senior level management.
  • Nimble Business mind, focused on developing creative solutions.
  • Grip on financial plans and outcomes with longer term horizons
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter
  • Work well under stress and time pressures.
  • Able to cope with varied and fast paced activities.
  • Computer skills – all Microsoft applications with specifically on excel and power point.
