Head: Communication and Engagement

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement stakeholder, communication and engagement strategies, approaches, frameworks and longterm plans.
  • Plan and deploy communication, interventions and engagements based on target audience related research and measuring the success thereof.
  • Disseminate information including the resolution of inquiries and complaints received via various channels.
  • Develop and implement communication and advocacy plans including related content, material and tools for campaigns tailored to the specific initiative.
  • Plan and lead the development of content for printed and digital collateral, promotional/educational material, FAQs, protocol responses, etc.
  • Facilitate two-way flow of information between internal, external stakeholders and affected communities to foster relations, advocate change and enable service delivery.

Qualification & Requirements

  • A relevant Bachelor Degree (Preferably in communication, public relations, marketing or similar).
  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in the transport environment with emphasis on advocacy, communication, marketing, stakeholder engagement, public relations or change management.
  • Excellent writing, communication and engagement skills.
  • Ability to think holistically and to influence.
  • Strong Project Management Skills.
  • A valid Code B driver’s licence and own reliance vehicle for official use.
  • Availability to facilitate engagement outside of standard office hours.
