General Manager – MICE

Key Responsibilities

As a General Manager – MICE, you will be based in Mumbai City and your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategically plan and partner with businesses for Meetings & Events Management.
  • Inspect sites, recommend venues, and reserve corporate meeting locations.
  • Collaborate with leaders to define meeting requirements, agendas, and strategies.
  • Liaise with vendors, communicate requirements, and develop on-site implementation plans.
  • Negotiate and approve corporate meeting contracts, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Design online registration sites and review/approve meeting invoices.
  • Act as on-site manager for larger meetings, ensuring flawless execution.
  • Establish Meetings & Events framework, engaging with stakeholders and leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement and incorporate emerging industry trends.
  • Lead special projects and coordinate with stakeholders in meetings & events.
  • Manage and develop team, ensuring performance and engagement.

Qualification & Requirements

As a General Manager – MICE, you must

  • Be based in or ready to relocate to Mumbai City
  • Minimum requirement: Master’s degree in Business, Hotel Management, or related field.
  • Preferred certification: MBA, CMP (Certified Meeting Professional).
  • 10+ years of meeting/events planning experience, with 5+ years in customer contact roles dealing with executives.
  • Strong expertise in meetings & events management and strategic thinking.
  • Analytical skills to provide cost-effective and quality solutions.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and conflicting demands.
  • Competencies: Resourceful collaboration, influential decision-making, unwavering integrity, strategic development, boundary-spanning collaboration, reliable commitment, excellent service delivery, strong teamwork, willingness to travel, and proficiency in computer skills.
