This individual will provide strategic direction to the Shared Services Technology team to improve the quality and value of the HR technology services offered throughout the organization.  This role will collaborate closely with other leaders within the HR Centers of Excellence to leverage the technology to improve efficiency while supporting the mission and strategic initiatives of ChristianaCare.

Director, Shared Services Technology

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees Workday, UKG Dimensions, Beeline/Utmost, and Cority platforms and all HR technology operations while continuously evaluating them according to established goals.
  • Collaborates with SST Technology leadership team to develop overarching technology roadmap to align with organizational goals.
  • Manages team responsible for planned work and operational day-to-day support for Workday, UKG Dimensions, Beeline/Utmost and Cority and other technology as needed.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with technology vendor partners while regularly assessing their performance, addressing issues and escalations appropriately.
  • Ensures effective implementation of technology within budget and scope of resources.
  • Devising and establishing policies and standard operating procedures to support the implementation of platforms, systems and technology strategies.
  • Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.
  • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations, modules or new systems.  Work with stakeholders to ensure successful IT integration.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with SaaS vendors and business/Lean-on partners, acting as the primary point of contact.  Assists with contract negotiation, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Directs or conducts the analysis of related Saa Systems /Platforms   develop solutions and provide support in meeting the business and operating objectives of Christiana Care.
  • Conducts periodic operational reviews to identify HR customer service improvement opportunities or HR best management practices that can be adapted to the Christiana Care.
  • Directs the preparation and monitoring of the Shared Services Technology annual budget.
  • Provides support and cooperation to other departments in the use of HR systems and sharing information that supports the strategic objectives of Christiana Care.
  • Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, HR Management, or related field required Seven years of IT management experience of SaaS platform vendors and Enterprise applications
  • Five years’ experience managing highly functional IT support teams supporting business critical systems
  • Five years of project management experience.
  • Workday experience a plus
  • UKG Dimensions experience a plus
  • Ten or more years of progressive leadership experience can be substituted for bachelor’s degree
