Description

Director of Product Management, Data Platform – Inmar’s data platform is core to the company’s next wave of growth, powering a portfolio that manages billions in annual transactions between retailers and product manufacturers. The company is seeking a seasoned product leader to drive the development and growth of this platform. Working across Inmar’s business units, this role is focused on creating new products, new data services for customers, and shared data services that enhance existing product portfolios. This position is responsible for understanding customer needs and translating them into requirements, collaborating with key business stakeholders to determine the priorities for the engineering team, and working closely with the engineering team in an agile environment to deliver products to market. In addition, the Director of Product Management, Data Platform, will coordinate with a cross-functional team to direct market research, product definition, go-to-market, partnerships, and sales support in alignment with the product and business objectives.

Strong candidates are market-driven and customer-focused product leaders, highly skilled at connecting business opportunities to technology capabilities in order to drive revenue. Strong candidates have an exceptional ability to work well with internal teams, including developers, engineers, architects, QA, and operations to ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations.The ideal candidate should have a strong track record of successfully launching data services and data-driven products, preferably powered by Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities. This is an innovative and data-driven role, working in a fast-paced startup environment within Inmar. This position is eligible to work remotely with a need to travel to HQ/customer sites on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Product Inception and Innovation

  • Lead the development of product strategy and identify product-market fit through market assessment, competitive research and customer engagement
  • Continuously pursue understanding the customer problem and size of the problem to validate strategic direction.
  • Clearly define Inmar’s unique product value and differentiation, leveraging both the broader ATG portfolio as well as Inmar’s entire portfolio.
  • Establish data-driven business requirements to validate product plans and investment

Product Roadmap & Execution

  • Define the product roadmap through annual and quarterly planning, in alignment with key stakeholders across the Inmar business units
  • Partner with engineering to plan, scope, and execute the product roadmap, clearly articulating product strategy and requirements
  • Build prototypes to visualize new product ideas for rapid customer engagement and feedback
  • Lead data-driven prioritization of new opportunities and the product backlog via key business stakeholder planning meetings.
  • Create build vs buy vs partner recommendations to accelerate roadmaps, and lead partner integration efforts where necessary.
  • Lead the integration of products into a coherent portfolio of products focused on the market.
  • Identify and manage to key Product KPIs that drive success of the product

Product Launch and On-Going Growth

  • Clearly articulate the customer value and Inmar business value created by the product
  • Partner with sales and marketing to define go-to-market strategy, executing programs based on product stage including proof-of-concept, MVP, beta, or general availability
  • Align product scope with distribution strategy, serving those channels and partners which best align with market buying preferences.
  • Continuously capture customer and market learnings to bring back into the roadmap via a rapid iterative development cycle

Qualification & Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • 7+ years experience in B2B product management for data platforms or highly data-driven products serving either the martech, fintech, or healthtech industries
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from 4-year college or university; MBA preferred
  • Experience in creating intelligent services from underlying raw data
  • Knowledge of AI and ML solutions
  • Experience building SaaS solutions preferred
  • Ability to work diligently and ethically toward the achievement of goals
  • Proven track record for delivering strategic product direction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and outstanding attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and high energy
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams with demonstrated ability to lead/inspire others
  • Self-starter that focuses on execution and delivery
  • Proficient in key business tools, such as PowerPoint, Excel, Google suite, etc.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time

Additional Information

The national average hiring range for this job is $140000 – $160000 and the salary can fluctuate based on geographic location and qualifications. Pay is based on several factors which may include, but are not limited to: education, work experience, certifications, labor markets, etc. This role includes an opportunity for company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Core Company Performance Bonus.

The actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
