Director of Finance

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibilities include scaling Digicert’s Finance Shared Service function, including scaling global Order Management (OM) processes, scaling global accounting processes, scaling global revenue operations processes and other future functions.
  • Focus on continuous improvement of processes, systems, teams and hiring to scale with Digicert’s growth.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop employees through orientation, training, establishment of objectives, communication of policies and rules, and constructive feedback; builds morale and motivation.
  • Assist with month end close processes as needed.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment. Oversees preparation and/or reviews reports in support of internal and external audits. Responsible for resolution of open items and root cause analysis with resolution. Ensures outside audits are compliant with contracts or regulations.
  • Establish department goals and monitor key metrics. Provide regular analysis and reporting to management
  • Lead continuous improvement, including processes, systems, and outside support targeted to improve department efficiencies thus reducing risk and cutting costs
  • Directs activities to ensure systems and controls are in place as outlined in policy and procedure manuals. Meets established daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
  • Resolves escalated internal and external stakeholders’ issues
  • Directs team’s activities to ensure compliance with accounting principles and adhere with company policies
  • Operational Leadership: Provide strategic planning, direction, and coordination for finance and accounting functions
  • Collaborating closely with other Accounting teams, Tax, Treasury, and FP&A teams within finance, while also working closely with cross-functional partners to transform processes that have the greatest impact, and deliver value or reallocate resources and re-design to optimally mitigate risk and deliver on business goals
  • Develop the Shared Services roadmap and identify other processes that would benefit from the inclusion in a shared services model

Qualification & Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant or Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent from a reputed institute, preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of operational accounting experience within a large company (Preferably MNC), minimum 5 years of experience in accounting leadership role (Manager and above).
  • NetSuite and Salesforce experience preferred
  • Ability to transform strategic goals into tactical project plans, including the ability to track within defined timelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis-+
