Description
Mohawk is looking for a Director Architecture & Delivery – Order to Cash Systems
who can do more for all Mohawk Flooring North America brands across residential, distributor and builder multifamily divisions.
The Director Architecture & Delivery serves as Architect for the complete Order to Cash system and process landscape and delivery leader of the application teams across multiple functional areas in support of order to cash systems. This position will partner with Executive Leadership and other functional stream leads to align IT delivery with the strategic goals and objectives of the business and Leads a team of applications managers, functional analysts, and external partners to deliver approved applications to schedule and budget. This role also will ensure that the application landscape supports both strategic and near-term needs and collaborates with Business Unit management, Business Consultants, and other stakeholders to identify users’ requirements and seek opportunities to improve business processes and support critical business strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees the systems architecture design for order to cash systems, recommends and implements changes and enhancements to streamline processes and performance
- Establishes team structure, hires team members, and sets the direction for the team in support of order to cash and ancillary systems.
- Ensures adherence to Mohawk SDLC practices and conformance to IS process governance
- Provides expert leadership and knowledge in applications and technologies
- Responsible for achieving the departmental KPIs, goals and objectives for the team
- Responsible for the accurate and efficient forecasting and allocation of a “shared service” pool of resources required to meet objectives
- Evaluates feasibility of possible solutions and recommends actions to IS and business colleagues.
- Leads and mentors a dynamic team of individuals who constantly search for creative ways to elevate the capabilities of our systems to meet business needs, partly by capitalizing on emerging technologies and partly by adapting technologies to the needs of the customer.
- Provides direction to the team including staff development and training, assignment of work, project and resource control, teamwork coordination and feedback on individual, project, or overall program performance.
- Establishes and manages departmental expense and capital budgets
- Maintains effective, productive, and professional working relationship with internal and external customers, third party vendors, project management office and governance organizations in accomplishing project objectives
- Monitors and reports on the status of multiple concurrent project efforts; proactively reviews and interprets performance against operating plans and standards; approves changes in plans; presents reports on project performance, changes, enhancements, scope variations, and other related matters and/or participates in key management activities and committees advising IS senior management and business unit project sponsors accordingly.
- Develop, documents and maintains architecture diagrams, best practices, project standards, procedures, application, quality objectives and “lessons learned”, including metrics for assessing progress; ensures that applications systems are developed in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices; develops and delivers training on and emphasizes the use of established project standards, methodology and quality objectives; proactively seeks opportunities to apply technology to expanding business potential, thereby strongly impacting competitive advantage and profitability
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus.
- MBA preferred or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, and In-depth technical knowledge, with hands-on experience managing systems development in new and existing computing architectures and environments; emphasis on SAP systems is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership roles leading high performing IT teams
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working within an SAP environment with focus on ECC / S4. Experience with Sales and Distribution (SD) required. Global ATP (SCM), Transportation Management (TM), Master Data Governance (MDG), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Finance modules is a plus.
- Understanding of Pricing processes and methodologies is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience from an architectural perspective in design and implementation of order to cash systems landscape including proactive identification of all upstream and downstream integrations.
- Demonstrated experience with the complete order to cash lifecycle with LEAN / Six-Sigma methodologies a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing environments and supply chain systems is a plus
- Experience interacting with “C” level executives and serving as the IT liaison for all IT related services
- Experience with budget management, vendor management and contract negotiation

- Strong team management skills, leading and motivating a team that is geographically dispersed and includes contractors and offshore resources
- Ability to quickly identify and analyze risks & impacts and define alternatives & prioritizations to remove roadblocks. Ability to manage multiple deliverables independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively exercise tact, discretion, judgment, and diplomacy when interacting and/or negotiating with internal and external customers and senior management.
- Highly motivated self-starter. Ability to act as an advisor on professional and technical issues with a view towards reaching decisions.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse and global work group and to achieve results through global team efforts. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and render good decisions to resolve the problems, maintain safety and ensure adherence to Corporate Code of Conduct.
- Consistently proven ability to implement projects and contribute to concept development
