Description
The Lead Software Developer is responsible for managing the analysis, programming and configuration of information technology (IT) systems software. This job advises developers on best methods of software development and code creation. Working with the leadership team, this job leads the execution of key divisional, departmental or cross-functional software development initiatives ensuring clear targets, goals and expectations are established, communicated and executed.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitors development work to make sure resulting software meets established goals.
- Manages the identification of business needs, conducts requirements gathering, and defines scope and objectives for the information technology (IT) systems.
- Advises the development and implementation of new products, processes and operational plans.
- Manages the configuration, customization, diagnosis and enhancements of operating systems software.
- Oversees training of users within the organization on new.
- Manages performance of the direct reports through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of software development projects and engagement, motivation and development of the team.
- Works with functional leadership teams to ensure that the transition to new programs and implemented solutions is smooth and effective.
- Design and development using JAVA , J2EE, MicroServices, Spring Boot, Mulesoft technologies AWS & Devops.
- Identify and manage dependencies on impacts of downstream applications and components to minimize adverse effects on other projects and / or programs.
- Understands how to optimize joint development efforts through appropriate project design, database use, code creation, and software architecture Lead design sessions within the development team.
- Identify opportunities for system reuse and system simplification
- Develops design specifications in compliance with IT Architecture, resolves user issues and provide recommendations as appropriate

- University (Degree) Preferred
Work Experience
- 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred

Required Skills:
- Demonstrated and strong experience with Java Development (1.8 and above), Spring Boot, ability to design API and RESTful services and an understanding of transactions
- Strong experience writing Microservices using Java 1.8 and above.
- Good Experience in Behavior Driven Design (Cucumber, Gherkin).
- Data design experience in application, noSQL, familiarity with modern technology and architecture (cloud, virtualization, object stores, etc.), and experience with SDLC tools and agile development methodology
- Experience with Angular JS preferred.
- Experience with spring cloud , swagger and devOps tools preferred
- Experience in Domain Driven Design preferred.
- Experience with Mulesoft preferred.
- Experience in SAFe Agile methodology preferred.
- Experience in building presentation layers using Front-end technologies
- Good problem solving skills and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to lead technology initiatives, develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity, an ability to interpret system / business requirements and prepare specification and design document.
