Description
As our Accounting Manager, you will oversee all financial accounting and reporting activities for ENGIE North America-Canada’s corporate and Renewables entities, spanning both development and operational phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly close process, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis for accurate and timely reporting
- Oversee compilation and submission of financial statements and reporting packages
- Determine accounting treatment for project costs and complex transactions, collaborating with Technical Accounting
- Supervise and develop accounting staff, maintain control procedures, and drive process improvements
Qualification & Requirements
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- A minimum of seven (7) years’ of relevant accounting experience in financial reporting, settlements, or Partnership Reporting
- You are CPA certified or in progress towards certification
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office Products including advanced Excel, Finance/Accounting software packages such as SAP S4 HANA and Adaptive Insight
- You are an individual with excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, capable of managing multiple assignments accurately and on time
- You are deadline-driven with project management skills for cross-organizational coordination, with business intelligence reporting products and strong technical knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
