Description
Woodinville Whiskey Company is seeking a Accounting Director who is a professional, hardworking leader for a new accounting role supporting both our award-winning distillery in Woodinville, WA as well as future whiskey projects.
If you are a skilled Accountant with a minimum 10 years of experience, detailed and deep understanding of general ledger intricacies, and the drive to lead the growing department, apply now!
The Accounting Director position offers you great experience and a strong compensation and benefits package. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for a host of critical functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and Direct Accounting process
- Supervise monthly/quarterly Financial Statement reporting
- Elevate tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage preparation and support of all internal and external audits
- Implement Shared Services protocols
- Develop policies in support of future department growth
- Enhance and implement procedures complementing Internal Control objectives
- Calculate inventory cost and drive cost improvements thru analytics
- Assist with ERP implementation
- Dedication to continuously improve the accounting process
Qualification & Requirements
- Alcohol manufacturing & inventory cost accounting experience
- 4-year degree or higher in Accounting, CPA preferred ERP Experience
- Advanced level computer skills, particularly Excel
- Attention to detail, and capable of performing complex reconciliations
