Assumptions JanusHire staff use when applying to jobs for you:
Your resume should include your full name, physical address, phone number and email contact, LinkedIn profile URL (if any), work history (including month and year for all positions) and your education with graduation dates.
We will act on job application requests within 48 hours of your request. If you are concerned that a job will expire within this time frame, we recommend you immediately apply on your own.
Some employers use LinkedIn’s “Easy Apply” service which requires you to apply on your own using your LinkedIn account. For these jobs our system provides a direct link to the job posting. In these cases, you will need to apply on your own (typically by attaching a resume and answering a few questions). This type of job application does not count towards the monthly limit for Standard or Premium members.
When asked for exact dates for your job history or education we will use the mid-point of the month unless you provide exact dates in your resume.
We will assume you are authorized to work in the country of the job you asked us to apply for and will indicate as such in the application.
If required, we will enter $1 as minimum salary unless you instruct us otherwise.
We will not fill in U.S. voluntary disclosures (race, gender, veteran status, disability) unless you provide them to us.
For Covid vaccination, we will leave this question blank in the application unless it is required; if so, we will indicate you have been vaccinated unless you explicitly instruct us not to.
If asked why you left a particular job, we use the standard response “completed assignment.” You will have the opportunity to explain further detail in the Discovery stage if you receive a call back for the position. If you’d like, you can provide reasons for each position, and we will use them.
If asked your supervisor’s name for a particular job, we will indicate “Contact me” unless you provide this information to us in advance.
If the application asks if you are willing to be subject to a drug test or physical screening, we will answer “yes” unless you instruct us otherwise.
If the application asks if you have a criminal record, we will assume no unless explicitly instructed by you.
If asked if a family member is employed by the company, we will assume “no” unless explicitly informed by you. In these cases, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If additional required information is required (e.g., birthdate, citizenship, etc.) to complete an application we will contact via email for your input before applying. In these cases, we appreciate a rapid response since job postings can close quickly.
